Environmental Engineering and Consulting to support clients in the mining, industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal sectors.

INTERMEDIATE/SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING AND CLOSURE PLAN SPECIALIST The successful candidate will be self-motivated, and will work well independently, as well as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to help support a variety of projects within primarily the mining sector. Other projects may also include industrial, commercial, residential, and municipal sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead environmental permitting and closure plan projects from initial regulatory strategy through approval and implementation.

- Develop permitting strategies, schedules, and approval roadmaps for complex projects.
- Prepare and manage federal, provincial, and municipal environmental permit and approval applications.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and technical studies to support regulatory submissions.
- Liaise with regulators, Indigenous communities and organizations, municipalities, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Manage regulatory comments, information requests, commitments, and conditions of approval.
- Identify permitting risks and develop practical solutions to maintain project schedules.
- Provide senior-level regulatory and environmental advice to clients and project teams.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to proposals, budgets, and business development.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable environmental legislation, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support business development initiatives
- Other duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS A diploma, undergraduate or graduate degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil,



or a related field with a strong foundation in environmental science or engineering

- Professional Engineering or Geoscientist Designation in Ontario is considered an asset
- A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role preferably within a consulting setting
- Extensive working knowledge of relevant legislation
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Experience writing technical reports and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- A valid class G driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record
- Ability to operate and maintain field equipment, including equipment calibration to operational and regulatory requirements
- Ability to operate and maintain machinery to support field work; examples include boat motors, pumps, all terrain vehicles, vehicles, trailers
- Ability to lift and move approximately 50 pounds without assistance

EMPLOYMENT TYPE

Full-time with benefits, including health benefits and RRSP program.

COMPENSATION

Competitive wages, commensurate with experience. Hourly wage with annual bonus. A relocation bonus may also be considered for the right candidate.

Pay: $75,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
