Embrace a culturally rich role as an Indigenous Centre Coordinator at RRC Polytech's South Winnipeg Campus, working in a hybrid model. Oversee vital events and support Indigenous education initiatives.
This full-time term role involves reporting to the Indigenous Student Supports Manager and supervising the Elders in Residence Program. You will be instrumental in planning and executing cultural events, managing the Indigenous Support Centre, and enhancing student engagement and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate days and activities of on-site Elders in Residence • Organize and facilitate various cultural events and workshops • Maintain the Indigenous Support Centre and handle bookings • Assist in planning college-wide events with Indigenous focus • Build and maintain relationships within the Indigenous community
Requirements: • Diploma in Community Development, Human Services, or a relevant field • Proven understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories • Skills in project coordination and event management • Strong verbal and written communication abilities • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite tools
