We are currently seeking a Co-op, Commercial Services Student for the Winter 2027 term (Jan 4 – April 30, 2027) within our Corporate Commercial team. This 16-week opportunity offers hands‑on experience supporting Emera Energy’s Natural Gas trading operations, focusing on pipeline activity, validating key trading data, navigating pipeline platforms and databases, and rate monitoring to support the team’s commercial objectives.
What You’ll Do
Monitor pipeline notifications and rate changes across multiple platforms
Prepare and review pipeline rates for data entry, validation, and circulation
Compile and validate summary data related to pipeline activity and customer usage for invoicing
Assist in processing documentation and automation
Provide general support to the Corporate Commercial team as needed
Work term outcomes By The End Of Your Work-term, You Will Have
Developed a fundamental understanding of the natural gas trading industry, including pipeline operations and tariffs
Gained hands‑on experience working with commercial data
Strengthened your Excel and data management skills in a quick‑paced business environment
Enhanced your internal customer service and communication skills
Who You Are You’re a detail-oriented and motivated student in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, IT, or Analytics, with an interest in commercial operations or energy markets.
You Bring
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly in data entry and validation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
Customer service experience
Interest in commercial services, trading operations, or energy markets
