Join the Department of Prospects and Social Development as a Child Protection Social Worker across various locations in Nova Scotia. With a Master of Social Work or Bachelor's equivalent and two years of experience, you will assess family dynamics, plan case strategies, and advocate for children's needs.
Your role is critical in supporting vulnerable communities through effective social service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Assess child safety and wellbeing issues
Develop and implement case plans with families
Collaborate with local partners and resources
Participate in court testimonies as needed
Supervise care for children under the Minister's authority Requirements:
Master of Social Work or Bachelor + 2 years experience
Valid driver's license and NS College registration eligibility
Understanding of trauma-informed care practices
Robust problem-solving and advocacy skills
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as required Support child welfare and community resilience as you make a difference in children's lives.
