Based in Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton, you'll build your career as a Junior Geoscientist / Geochemist / Data Scientist by helping multidisciplinary teams turn geochemical and environmental data into practical insight.

You'll contribute to field sampling, data quality, conceptual model development, numerical analysis, and client‑ready reporting for projects involving water, rock, and soil—while learning from experienced specialists across WSP. #Collect water, rock, and soil samples and contribute to safe, accurate field programs that support environmental and geoscience decisions. Manage and analyze large geochemical datasets, applying quality assurance and quality control measures that make project information reliable and defensible. Develop conceptual models and contribute to numerical analyses, including mass‑balance modelling, to help teams understand complex environmental systems.

Produce statistical analyses, including interpolation and regression, and translate findings into clear written, graphical, and presentation materials. Collaborate with geoscientists, geochemists, hydrogeologists, engineers, laboratory professionals, and data specialists to deliver integrated solutions for clients. Contribute to technical reports, analytical laboratory assignments, project design, and client deliverables while expanding your consulting and technical capabilities.

A bachelor's degree in earth science, geoscience, chemistry, environmental science, geological engineering, hydrogeology, hydrology, data science, statistics, or a related field.



~0–3 years of industry experience involving field sampling, analytical laboratory work, project design, client reporting, or the management and manipulation of large datasets. ~ Experience collecting, managing, quality‑checking, summarizing, and interpreting geochemical data from rock, soil, or water, including statistical analysis and conceptual model development. ~ Exposure to data management tools such as EQuIS or Microsoft Access, and coding or automation using Python, R, or Excel macros, is an asset. ~ Familiarity with relevant technical software such as PHREEQC, Geochemist's Workbench, GoldSim , ioGAS , or Leapfrog is an asset. ~ Ability to communicate technical findings clearly, collaborate across disciplines, think creatively about data‑driven problems, and travel for fieldwork; consulting experience and a valid driver's licence are assets.
