Make a difference as a Junior Consumer Education Specialist at the Utilities Consumer Advocate in Calgary. Engage and educate consumers on key utility issues for informed decision-making. In this full-time role under the Ministry of Affordability and Utilities, you will support the Utilities Consumer Advocate in public education and engagement initiatives.
Your focus will involve direct interaction with residential and small business consumers while delivering impactful educational programs and maintaining partnerships across Alberta. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive public education sessions
- Identify outreach opportunities with community stakeholders
- Create quality educational materials and resources
- Respond to consumer inquiries on utility-related topics
- Engage in stakeholder collaboration and reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
- Experience with public presentation preferred
- Solid interpersonal skills for stakeholder relations
- Ability to work independently on projects
