Are you hardworking, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment? Our buffet restaurant is looking for Kitchen Staff / Kitchen Helpers to join our team!

This position involves food preparation, cooking assistance, buffet food replenishment, and general kitchen duties. We are looking for team members who are dependable, effective, and willing to learn.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.

Duties

- Food Preparation: Assist with preparing vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients for daily service.
- Cooking Assistance: Help with frying, cooking, reheating, and preparing buffet dishes according to restaurant procedures.
- Buffet Replenishment: Prepare and replenish food promptly to keep buffet items fresh and available during service.
- Kitchen Organization: Properly store, label, and rotate ingredients and prepared foods.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Keep workstations, kitchen equipment, floors, and food preparation areas clean and sanitary.
- Dishwashing: Assist with dishes and general kitchen cleaning when required.
- Food Safety: Follow proper food handling, temperature control, sanitation, and food safety procedures.
- Teamwork: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.

Requirements
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience is preferred.
- Experience with Chinese, Asian, buffet, or high-volume cooking is an asset.
- Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and kitchen procedures.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform regular kitchen duties, including lifting and carrying supplies.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
