TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
SALARY: $21.00 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Employer’s home
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide supervision and care for senior in the employer& residence and assist with daily
activities such as bathing, dressing, toileting and grooming.
Safely transfer the patient to and from the bed or other surfaces using proper lifting
techniques.
Administer medications according to the prescribed schedule and keep accurate records of
medication administration
Prepare and assist with nutritious meals that adhere to any dietary restrictions and assist
patient with eating if necessary.
Keep track of health status, report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare
professional or the family member.




Provide companionship and emotional support to the patient, engaging in conversations and
activities to promote mental well-being.

Perform light housekeeping duties such as changing bed sheets etc. to maintain protected and
comfortable environment for the senior and assist with transportation needs such
accompanying to medical appointments if needed.
Keep records of daily activities and maintain health information for patient, as required.

QUALIFIED SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Secondary School graduation required or diploma/certificate in related field.
Experience is an asset.
Fluent in English and excellent verbal communication skills and high level of confidentiality,
integrity, ethics, and professionalism
Overtime maybe required sometime and position could be physically demanding
Good time management skills, client focus, flexibility, organized, reliable and excellent
interpersonal skills.
Knowing other languages such as Gujarati would be an asset.
