Landscape Labourer

Alpine Irrigation

Alpine Irrigation is hiring Landscape Labourers for our Riverside golf course irrigation project. Experience is an asset, but a robust work ethic and willingness to learn go a long way! Motivated employees will receive hands-on training and have opportunities to advance within the company.

This is a physically demanding outdoor construction position. Duties include:

· Shoveling, raking and laying sod

· Digging, backfilling and cleaning up work areas

· Assisting equipment operators and experienced technicians

· Standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling and lifting throughout the workday

· Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

· Completing daily equipment inspections and hazard assessments

· Following company and job-site safety requirements

Preferred Qualifications

· Valid Class 5 driver's licence

· WHMIS certification

· CSTS 2020 certification

· Landscaping, construction or irrigation experience

· Experience using hand tools and small power tools





Training may be available for suitable applicants who do not currently have WHMIS or CSTS certification.

Work Schedule

· Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

· Saturday: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon

· Overtime is paid after eight hours worked per day

· Work hours may occasionally change due to weather or project requirements

Wage: $21.50+ per hour, based on experience, plus overtime.
