Roots 2 Rocks Property Care is hiring a full-time Landscape & Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our growing team.

We provide professional landscape and property-maintenance services for residential and commercial properties throughout Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and surrounding areas.

This is a physically active, hands-on outdoor position for someone who wants consistent work, takes pride in doing a job properly and understands that the rest of the crew depends on every team member arriving reliably and on time.

Responsibilities

Duties may include

- Commercial and residential lawn mowing
- Operating zero-turn and stand-on mowers
- String trimming, edging and blowing
- Garden and landscape-bed maintenance
- Weeding and pruning
- Installing mulch, soil and decorative stone
- Sod installation and lawn repairs
- Spring and fall cleanups
- Property cleanup and general maintenance
- Loading and unloading tools, equipment and materials
- Keeping trucks, trailers and equipment clean and organized
- Following instructions from Crew Leaders and management
- Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Following company safety procedures and job-site requirements

Required Qualifications The successful applicant must:

- Maintain regular and dependable attendance
- Arrive on time and ready to work
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Have reliable transportation to report for every scheduled shift
- Be available for full-time Monday-to-Friday work
- Be available for early-morning starts when required
- Be comfortable with physically demanding outdoor work




- Be able to work in varying weather conditions
- Be able to lift and carry landscaping tools, equipment and materials
- Work well as part of a crew
- Take direction and communicate professionally
- Respect customer properties and company equipment
- Understand that qualified property maintenance requires both quality and productivity

Previous landscaping or property-maintenance experience is an asset. Experience operating commercial mowing and landscaping equipment is a strong asset. We are willing to train the right person, but dependability, effort and attitude cannot be trained.

Schedule

Typical work is Monday through Friday, with start and finish times depending on workload, weather and seasonal requirements.

Early starts, longer days and occasional Saturday work may be required during busy periods or following weather delays. Applicants must have enough schedule flexibility to accommodate the seasonal nature of the work.

Probationary Period

All new employees begin with a probationary period. During this time, attendance, punctuality, communication, attitude, safety, productivity and quality of work will be evaluated.





Successful completion of probation depends on consistently meeting the expectations of the position.

Winter Employment

Roots 2 Rocks also provides commercial snow-removal and winter property-maintenance services. Suitable employees may be offered an opportunity to continue into winter operations based on performance, reliability, availability and operational requirements.
