Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Laser / Press Brake Operator to join our metal fabrication team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of machine operation experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced shop workplace.

This role involves operating laser cutting and press brake equipment, reading drawings, measuring parts, assisting with material handling, and helping keep production moving safely and accurately.

Duties

- Operate laser cutting and press brake equipment
- Set up and run jobs based on drawings, work orders, and production requirements
- Read and interpret basic blueprints/shop drawings
- Measure and inspect parts using tape measure, calipers, squares, and angle gauges
- Load/unload material and organize finished parts for the next operation
- Perform basic quality checks and report issues early
- Assist with deburring, sorting, tagging, and material handling as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and organized

Qualifications




- Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience required
- Experience with laser cutting, press brake, CNC, or metal fabrication equipment preferred
- Ability to read basic drawings/blueprints
- Comfortable using measuring tools and checking part accuracy
- Basic mechanical understanding and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
- Forklift experience is an asset
- AutoCAD experience is an asset

Assets
- Press brake setup experience
- Laser cutting experience
- Forklift certification
- AutoCAD or basic CAD experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
