The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Lawyer with 5+ years of litigation experience. Experience in insurance defence is considered a strong asset.

The successful candidate will be confident handling files, advising clients, negotiating resolutions, and appearing at discoveries, mediations, LAT proceedings, and other litigation matters.

This role is well suited to a lawyer who enjoys advocacy, takes ownership of their files, and wants to work within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage personal injury matters and provide strategic direction throughout the life of the file
- Prepare for and attend examinations for discovery and mediations
- Prepare for and attend LAT case conferences and hearings
- Conduct client consultations and provide explicit, practical legal advice




- Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement documentation, and legal correspondence
- Negotiate settlements with insurers, defence counsel, and other parties
- Assess liability, damages, and litigation strategy
- Maintain robust communication with clients throughout their claims
- Work collaboratively with law clerks, legal assistants, and other members of the litigation team

Qualifications
- Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Minimum 5 years of relevant litigation experience
- Personal injury experience strongly preferred
- Insurance defence experience considered an asset
- Strong negotiation, advocacy, and litigation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively within a team
- Professional, responsive, and client-focused approach
