Ideon Technologies uses the energy from supernova explosions in space to image deep beneath the Earth’s surface. The world pioneer in cosmic-ray muon tomography, Ideon has developed the REVEAL™ Subsurface Intelligence Platform™, comprised of proprietary data-generation hardware, software, Al-powered services, and multi-physics fusion that provide x-ray‑like visibility deep underground and unlock the exponential power of integrated spatial data. In turn, this is helping accelerate the world’s transition to low‑impact mining and transform how companies recover the critical minerals required to power the global shift to clean energy – improving peoples’ lives and enhancing economic prosperity.

Ideon is a dynamic tech scale‑up of 80 employees (and growing!), Ideon’s commercial teams – Business Development, Technical Solutions, Customer Success, Marketing & Communications, and Revenue Operations – operate as a single revenue system with shared data and definitions, and a single forecast.

The Revenue

Operations (Rev Ops) Lead – a brand new role – will own how that system fits together. You will be the only person in this function to start, building the systems we need with AI tooling while you run them. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will work closely with various individuals, particularly Business Development Executives in North America, Australia, and Latin America.

Marketing owns demand‑generation programs, campaigns, and content; Business Development Executives own their accounts, their opportunities, and their forecast decisions; Customer Success owns customer health, cross‑functional program delivery, and renewal execution; Finance owns the ledgers; you own the commercial numbers that inform them. This role requires judgement as much as rigour, and the credibility to hold a standard with experienced teammates while also helping them deliver.

Customer Relationship Management System Run HubSpot: pipeline stages, stage criteria, required fields, workflows, integrations, and permissions. Write the standards and help teammates keep records complete and accurate. Triage and route incoming enquiries with Marketing so they are answered quickly and qualified opportunities reach the right Business Development Executive.

Ensure handovers from Business Development to Customer Success are clean so delivery starts with the context needed and we only promise what we can deliver well. Own how we define our commercial metrics, and be the person who can explain what each one means and why we use it. Run a single weekly, evidence‑based forecast for the commercial team.

Reconcile the forecast against pipeline evidence and delivery capacity, and raise discrepancies early. Partner with Finance on definitions, reporting, and anything commercial reviewed outside the company.

Own how we use AI and automation: what gets built, what earns its place, what gets retired, and how we check outputs before they reach customers. Keep automation running on HubSpot rather than around it, within our security and data rules, with a named person accountable for every customer‑or Board‑facing output. Run onboarding and training for new commercial team members so they get up to speed quickly.

Owner the sales knowledge base in Notion and the call library in Gong – playbooks, proposals, and discovery questions – and keep it current and shaped by what the team learns. Commercial data is accurate, current, and trusted, and leadership can answer pipeline questions with confidence. Advanced deals move forward with complete stage gate evidence, and the stage gate process holds without unnecessary escalation.

Routine work is automated, so BD Execs spend more time with customers and less on admin. Learning the business – our customers, how a project turns into revenue, and where the process breaks down today. Agreeing on our commercial metric definitions with Finance, and rolling them out to the team.

Reviewing pipeline stages and criteria in HubSpot, reconfiguring as needed, and applying them consistently. Several years in rev ops, sales ops, or commercial analytics, in a B2B environment with long, complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles. Hands‑on CRM ownership rather than CRM use.

HubSpot is our platform but Salesforce or comparable experience is great.

Experience owning or building a sales forecast, and the ability to explain how you made it reliable. Strong analytical skills and comfort with data. Comfortable building and operating at the same time, with the resources available. Well‑developed communication skills in English at a fluent or professional level, written and verbal. Legally able and currently documented to work full‑time hours in Canada.

Background in mining, heavy industry, capital equipment, or another long‑cycle technical sales environment.

Experience supporting a commercial team through a period of rapid growth. Sales compensation and quota administration.

Experience with Gong, Notion, Power BI, or similar reporting and enablement tooling. Enthusiastic and confident to take initiative and be adaptable in an agile, quick‑paced environment. Solid teamwork skills; you’re accountable to yourself and your team and will jump in to help where you can.

Creative solutioning mindset with great problem‑solving skills. able to build relationships with colleagues, customers, and external stakeholders. Able to contribute something “extra” to our culture beyond the work that you do, like wowing people with your home‑baked goods, sharing improv comedy skills, or organizing sports games. This is a hybrid or remote‑hybrid role (with regular travel to Ideon HQ).

We love seeing local folks in the office 2+ days a week. Little to no travel is expected in this role; there may occasionally be trips for team building and/or professional development. Ideon is a high‑tech company and our commercial team spans several time zones, which means some flexibility with hours will be needed.
