Join the Toronto Zoo as a Grant Reproductive Research Technician, contributing to wildlife conservation through research and education. This 6-month position starts immediately and involves significant public engagement and laboratory work.
In your role as a Grant Reproductive Research Technician, you will support various research projects and public outreach efforts. Your responsibilities include conducting field research, data collation, and developing educational materials. Collaborating closely with the team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the zoo’s key conservation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support on research projects directed by supervisors
• Conduct and report on lab or field research findings




• Process and catalogue biological samples for analysis
• Deliver public education outreach, including tours
• Assist in grant writing and related communications
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary qualification or equivalent training
• At least 1 year proven experience in a related field
• Familiarity with Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Ability to work varying shifts including weekends
• Capable of meeting physical job requirements
