Join the Wilfrid Laurier University Library as a full-time Metadata and Cataloguing Librarian based in Waterloo. This pivotal role focuses on cataloguing, metadata strategies, and quantitative collection analysis. In this continued track position, the Metadata Librarian will work with the Information Resources Department to ensure efficient manageability of library resources and enhance discoverability.

You will be integral in leading metadata projects alongside library initiatives and fostering collaboration both within and outside the university. Key Responsibilities:

- Create bibliographic and authority metadata records
- Update and manage catalog data in Alma/Omni
- Evaluate recent technologies for metadata efficiency




- Support library and campus projects with metadata needs
- Collaborate with consortial partners to improve services Requirements:
- ALA accredited MLIS or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of MARC, AACR2, RDA, and academic cataloguing
- Experience in electronic resources management beneficial
- Excellent communication and project management capabilities
- Commitment to equity and understanding of accessibility standards Utilize your expertise to propel Wilfrid Laurier University Library forward with dedicated cataloguing and metadata management.
