Requirements
- Must have valid class 5 operators license
- Reliable transportation to our location (public transit is not available)
- In good health and physically fit, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Dependability and reliability; demonstration of regular and punctual attendance is required
- Great attitude with customer-focused mindset
- Previous experience operating a forklift is an asset, but willingness to learn is sufficient
- Experience with hand and/or power tools is an asset
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer for occasional deliveries
The successful applicant will be working alongside yard staff carrying out duties that include:
- assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles, semi-trucks and trailers
- Keeping the yard and warehouse neat and organized
- Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and move product around the yard and warehouse
- Follow receiving procedures for all inventory and supplies entering the facility
- Develop knowledge about the products we sell
- Use proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to inventory
- Ensure all products leaving the yard/warehouse are the proper product and have an invoice
- Maintaining a clean work area by returning tools and materials to appropriate location and cleaning up garbage
- Pick and package product for deliveries or pick-ups
- Be friendly and courteous to all customers and staff
