Maintenance Technician (North Bay)
Full-time, permanent · On-call rotation
Malmac Properties is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our growing team that manage our apartment buildings in North Bay. In this role, you will travel between our properties handling tenant service requests, turning over vacant suites, and ensuring that apartments are move-in ready.
Typical duties of a maintenance technician can be found below. However, if you have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability to learn new skills, Malmac will provide you with the training to equip you with the skills needed to have a successful career.
- Tenant service requests, including troubleshooting and resolving plumbing issues, maintaining appliances, heat and cooling issues, as well as other basic maintenance duties.
- Unit renovations, including patching, priming, paint, trim work, flooring, and drywalling.
- Common area and grounds upkeep, including winter snow removal and salting.
- Fire and plumbing inspections,
including checking smoke, carbon monoxide alarms, plumbing, and fire extinguishers.
- Staff share regular on-call duties, for which the respective individual will be compensated.
Requirements:
- Valid Ontario G licence, with a reliable vehicle.
- A robust work ethic, positive attitude, and adaptability to learn new skills.
- Willingness to take part in an evening and weekend on-call rotation.
- Satisfactory criminal record check and clean driver's abstract required.
