Job Overview The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing operations run efficiently by coordinating production schedules, materials, inventory, and communication between departments. The role helps keep production on track by monitoring workflow, addressing delays or material shortages, and ensuring that resources are available to meet customer demands and organizational goals.

Coordinators work closely with production, purchasing, scheduling, logistics teams, and inside sales to maintain accurate records, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.

Summary of Major Accountabilities

- Coordinate daily production activities to ensure jobs are released, prioritized, and completed according to schedule.
- Monitor production progress and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Monitor finished goods inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is maintained to support customer demand, production requirements, and delivery commitments. Regularly review inventory balances, forecasted demand, and replenishment requirements, and create finished good jobs as needed to replenish inventory and prevent stock shortages.
- Work closely with Manufacturing Manager, Scheduler and Manufacturing Leader to address scheduling changes, material constraints, and production priorities.
- Maintain sales orders, job travellers, and related documentation within the Epicor system. Ensuring proper job completion in timely manner.
- Assist in tracking work-in-process (WIP)



and ensure timely movement of both Sales Orders and customer related jobs through production and shipping.
- Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure materials and job specific purchased components are available when needed.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to align manufacturing activities with inventory targets while optimizing production efficiency and minimizing excess inventory.
- Identify and escalate production delays, shortages, quality concerns, and bottlenecks to Manufacturing Management and Inside Sales team.
- Support production meetings by preparing reports, tracking action items, and communicating follow-up activities.
- Coordinate engineering changes and ensure production documentation reflects current revisions.
- Collaborate with Shipping and Logistics teams to support customer delivery requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing lead time, and improving on-time delivery performance.
- Proven experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Familiarity with demand planning, MRP systems, and supply chain management tools
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, and safety protocols




- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma and/or Post-Secondary Education in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Control, Planning, or related field.
- 2 yrs Experience working in a manufacturing setting is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in a team setting.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Epicor.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and analyze production data.
