Who You Are The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) position will entail an exciting variety of work with the main focus on Assy support & Tool Design. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and then supporting Assy processes, Continuous Improvement (CI) as well as designing and developing processes/tooling that ensure our products meet high-quality standards. This role requires a blend of experience, technical expertise, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail to optimize manufacturing processes and maintain product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assy Support:

· Act as a liaison between Product Engineering (PE) and Assy Supervisor

· Support production with time studies, Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) generation and process improvement

2. Tool Design:

· Design and develop manufacturing tools such as weld fixtures, and Assy jigs

· Collaborate with PE and production teams to understand requirements and specifications

· Create detailed CAD models and drawings for internal and outsource fabrication





· Ensure tooling is designed for accuracy and repeatability and utilizes our modular NWT system

3. Process Improvement:

· Continuously monitor and analyze Assy processes to identify opportunities for improvement using time studies, root cause analysis (RCA), problem solving activities, etc.

· Adhere, champion and implement Lean OpEx principles and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste

4. Documentation and Reporting:

· Maintain accurate records of time studies, tool designs, ECR’s for product improvement, etc.

· Prepare and present reports for Continuous Improvement (CI) projects

· Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, AWS/CWB weld standards and CCOH safety regulations

What Sets You Apart?

You are an individual that has:

· CTTAM membership in Mech.Eng Tech or Degree in Mech. Eng with minimum 5 years experience as an ME and/or tool designer

· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

· Demonstrated experience in the role of an ME

· Experience in tool design in a heavy industry welding environment

· Proficiency in 3D MCAD software (OnShape considered an asset)

· Proficiency with Lean OpEx (Lean Level 2 certification considered an asset)





· Proficiency with ASME Engineering standards (Y14.5-2018GD&T; considered an asset)

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as the situation warrants

· Farming background is considered an asset.

Job Specifics:

· Full time Permanent

Salary Range:

· $80,000 – 85,000 per year.

Location:

· In Person

Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
