JOB DETAILS

Elite Iron Design Inc. is looking for a reliable Metal Cutting & Grinding Helper to join our workshop team in Mississauga. This position involves assisting with the cutting, grinding, polishing, and preparation of metal components used in custom railing and stair projects.

We are looking for someone comfortable working in a hands-on workshop environment, with experience using tools and a robust attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

- Assist with cutting, grinding, polishing, and finishing metal components
- Use grinders, polishers, cutting tools, and other hand and power tools
- Prepare metal components for fabrication, welding, painting, and installation
- Follow measurements, drawings, and instructions provided by the fabrication team
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality and proper finish
- Handle and organize materials safely
- Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and other workshop team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Perform other related shop duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience with metal cutting, grinding, polishing, fabrication, or related work is an asset.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to work safely with metal materials and workshop equipment
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Able to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM; occasional weekend availability may be required
- Able to reliably commute to our shop in Mississauga for a 7:00 AM start
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Work environment: Workshop Language: Basic English required; Spanish is an asset

Start: Immediate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
