The Opportunity
CA‑Mart is looking for a proven cellphone retail leader who can take ownership of an underperforming location and build it into a profitable, organized and independently operating store.
This is a hands-on turnaround position. You will initially focus on one assigned location, personally drive sales, train the employees and implement the systems required for consistent performance.
You will not be expected to sell franchises immediately.
Your first responsibility is to create a successful operating model that can be repeated. Once the location is profitable, properly staffed and operating through documented systems, your role can advance into multi-location leadership and franchise development.
Your First Assignment
During the initial turnaround stage, you will:
- Assess the location’s sales, staffing, inventory, marketing and customer follow-up.
- Build and execute a practical 30-, 60- and 90-day turnaround plan.
- Personally sell phones, accessories, repairs, activations and related services.
- Recruit, train and coach employees to follow a consistent sales process.
- Establish daily, weekly and monthly performance targets.
- Improve lead response, appointment booking, follow-up and closing rates.
- Build profitable B2C, B2B, e-commerce and community-event sales channels.
- Implement CRM workflows, reporting, scripts, checklists and operating procedures.
- Create a location that can perform consistently without daily owner intervention.
Sales and Business Development You will be responsible for growing revenue through:
- In-store cellphone and accessory sales
- Repair bookings and service sales
- Wireless activations and customer upgrades
- Trade-ins and device purchasing
- Shopify and approved online marketplaces
- Facebook Marketplace and local digital channels
- Corporate and small-business accounts
- Schools, contractors, organizations and reseller relationships
- Local events, partnerships and promotional campaigns
- Customer retention, referrals and reactivation
The established growth objective is to build toward $140,000 in verified monthly sales. The final written compensation plan will clearly define which sales count toward the target, the applicable gross-profit requirements and the bonuses earned at each performance level.
Team Leadership
- Lead from the sales floor and demonstrate the behaviours expected from the team.
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, train and supervise sales employees.
- Teach product knowledge, accessory bundling, repair quoting, financing, objection handling and closing.
- Review employee performance using measurable scorecards.
- Build a positive but accountable sales culture.
- Develop future supervisors capable of managing locations independently.
- Resolve customer escalations professionally and protect the CA‑Mart customer experience.
Systems and Automation You do not need to be a software developer.
You must be capable of implementing and managing practical business systems, including:
- CRM lead pipelines
- Automated customer follow-ups
- Appointment and repair-booking workflows
- Daily sales reporting
- Inventory-priority lists
- Employee scorecards
- Sales scripts and checklists
- Standard operating procedures
- Customer reactivation campaigns
- Marketing-performance tracking
Experience with RepairDesk, Salesforce or a comparable CRM/POS platform is an asset.
Marketing and Community Growth
- Plan location-specific sales campaigns and promotions.
- Coordinate short-form product and offer videos.
- Organize local events, business outreach and community partnerships.
- Develop offers that attract qualified local customers.
- Measure every campaign through leads, appointments, conversions, revenue and gross profit.
- Work with internal staff and external marketing partners while remaining accountable for execution inside the store.
Advancement Into Franchise Development After successfully completing the turnaround stage, the position can expand into Multi-Location Sales & Franchise Development Lead.
At that stage, you will help:
- Replicate the successful operating system across multiple locations.
- Document training, sales and operational standards.
- Prepare new locations and future operators for launch.
- Generate and qualify prospective franchise candidates.
- Present the CA‑Mart business opportunity professionally.
- Maintain a structured franchise-development pipeline.
- Coordinate with ownership and professional legal advisers throughout the franchise process.
- Support franchisee onboarding, training and store-opening preparation.
- Earn separate commissions for completed franchise-development milestones.
Franchise sales will begin only after CA‑Mart’s operating system, financial model, documentation and support structure are ready.
Required Qualifications
- At least four years of proven cellphone, wireless, telecom or consumer-electronics sales experience.
- At least two years of successful retail sales-management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable revenue and profitability targets.
- Strong knowledge of smartphones, accessories, trade-ins, wireless services and repair sales.
- Experience recruiting, coaching and managing sales employees.
- Ability to personally demonstrate strong prospecting, follow-up and closing skills.
- Understanding of retail margins, inventory movement and performance reporting.
- Experience with CRM, POS or lead-management systems.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation between Welland and St. Catharines.
- Availability for retail hours, weekends and peak seasonal periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience turning around an underperforming location or sales territory.
- Multi-location retail-management experience.
- B2B, outside-sales or account-development experience.
- E-commerce and local digital-marketing experience.
- Franchise-development or recent-location-launch experience.
How Success Will Be Measured Your performance will be evaluated using:

- Average transaction value
- Inventory movement
- B2B and e-commerce revenue
- Customer satisfaction and reviews
- Employee development and retention
- Completion and adoption of operating systems
- Ability of the location to operate without daily owner intervention

- Guaranteed base salary
- Guaranteed weekly hours
- Primary and secondary work locations
- Schedule and travel expectations
- Performance targets
- Bonus calculations and payment timing
- Franchise-development commissions

Commitment must work both ways: the company provides clear terms, resources and earning opportunities, while the manager provides leadership, execution and accountability. Who Should Apply?

You should apply if you can show specific examples of:
