As a key member of WSP, you will contribute to the design and assessment of mine waste facilities, ensuring compliance with industry and environmental standards. This role requires creative thinking and effective collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support project execution and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and assess tailings storage facilities and dumps
• Perform geotechnical assessments, including seepage analysis
• Develop comprehensive waste management plans
• Monitor performance and implement improvement strategies
• Prepare detailed technical reports for clients and stakeholders
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering
• 5-7 years’ experience in relevant engineering fields
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario or future eligibility
• Familiarity with geotechnical design software
• Ability to travel to mining sites as needed
