Lead municipal planning initiatives with the Government of Nunavut in Iqaluit. This managerial role requires expertise in infrastructure planning, project management, and community engagement.As the Manager of Municipal Planning, you will oversee a team of planners and engineers tasked with addressing the functional needs of infrastructure projects. Manage projects related to water treatment, solid waste systems, and road networks, while ensuring delivery reflects cultural and environmental considerations. Your role is pivotal in shaping sustainable development strategies for the community, contributing to long-term infrastructure solutions.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee planning for water treatment and solid waste disposal
Guide preparation of feasibility studies and reports
Ensure compliance with engineering standards and codes
Translate community needs into actionable project plans
Lead and develop a team of municipal plannersRequirements:
Degree in civil engineering or related field
Five years of relevant work experience
Two years in a supervisory role
Familiarity with Inuit organizations is an asset
