Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified, caring and forward-thinking Nurse Practitioner, who has a mindset towards prevention and health promotion, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, with experience in diagnosing, treating a variety of medical conditions, and will appreciate the opportunity to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient care, performing medical examinations, ordering laboratory tests, and prescribing medications.

The Nurse

Practitioner will also be expected to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of medicine and ensure that the highest standards of patient care are maintained. If desired, there is also an option for paid “work from home” as part of your schedule to catch up on administration details.

B Medical Center is a multi-faceted Level 2 Medical Facility located across the street from Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette campus and minutes from the Windsor/Detroit border in Windsor, ON.

It is a Primary Care Practice with the opportunity for you to learn and perform minor procedures. The Medical Team practices a forward-thinking, modern approach to medicine.

Medical Aesthetics and Pharmacy are on-site.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat patients using evidence-based medicine
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate. Monitor progress & response to treatments
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care services
- Perform physical examinations and order laboratory tests as needed
- Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare providers as needed

Language Requirement:
- English is required. French is not required

Education, Licensing:
- Nurse Practitioner licensed in Ontario

Education & Experience in the following fields would be an asset:
- Weight loss
- Women’s Health
- IV insertions and phlebotomy

Pay: From $59.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
