Join AltaLink as a Power System Engineering Technologist (P.L. Eng.) and contribute to Alberta’s electrical future. Focus on modeling, validation, and compliance as part of our Project Engineering team.

The successful applicant will play a crucial role in preparing transmission modeling data and ensuring that documentation complies with industry standards. This position requires a strong technical background with at least six years of experience in engineering or modeling high voltage systems. Collaboration with AESO and internal teams is essential to enhance modeling processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely submission of transmission modeling data packages
• Validate operational transmission-system and electrical-equipment models
• Develop line-impedance calculations and reports




• Maintain compliance with AESO ISO Rules and standards
• Support project deliveries with power flow and short circuit data

Requirements:
• Must have Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma
• Skilled Licensee (P.L. Eng.) designation or eligibility
• Six years of relevant experience in electrical engineering
• Preference for modeling experience in electrical transmission
• Experience with power systems is advantageous
