What To Expect
We are seeking a skilled Identity and Access Management Specialist responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization’s Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. This role ensures reliable access management, identity governance, and directory services to support business operations and cybersecurity requirements. This position will also have opportunities to receive mentorship for professional growth from more senior members of the team including the CISO.

Key Responsibilities (to Name a Few)

Administer and maintain Active Directory (AD DS), including users, groups, computers, and organizational units (OUs)

Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and system configurations

Design and maintain domain structures, forests, and trust relationships

Perform regular health checks, replication monitoring, and system audits

Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts following least privilege principles

Manage role-based access control (RBAC) and privileged access

Support integration with identity platforms (e.g., Azure AD / Entra ID, SSO, MFA)

Enforce AD security best practices,



including Tiered Administration models

Monitor for suspicious activity and respond to incidents involving directory services

Implement and manage audit policies and logging (e.g. SIEM integration)

Assist with compliance requirements (e.g. SOX, HIPAA, ISO 27001)

Maintain domain controllers, DNS, and related services

Perform patching, upgrades, and performance tuning

Participate in backup and disaster recovery planning and testing

Develop scripts (PowerShell preferred) to automate administrative tasks

Improve operational efficiency through automation and tooling

Provide tier 2/3 support for AD-related issues

Work with security, infrastructure, and cloud teams on identity solutions

Document processes, configurations, and procedures

Conduct continuous technical assessments of various security subdomains such as cloud security, endpoint protection platforms security, network security, and architecture.

About You

Bachelor's degree required.

8+ years of experience administering Active Directory in an enterprise environment

Robust experience with:

Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)

Group Policy management

DNS and domain controller operations

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting

Experience with Windows Server environments

Experience with LDAP configuration issues and IAVA Compliance





Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
