Halton Region seeks an Instrumentation Technician to ensure reliable municipal infrastructure. This role involves maintaining control systems and optimizing plant operations for efficient service delivery.
Working under the Team Supervisor in Public Works, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting instrumentation systems. Key responsibilities include performing calibrations, conducting emergency responses, and collaborating with teams on infrastructure projects. Your expertise will support compliance, reliability, and proactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant instrumentation and control systems
• Perform calibration and repair activities proactively
• Plan and schedule diagnostic repairs on failures
• Conduct condition appraisals for equipment reliability
• Collaborate with internal and external teams for efficiency
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Apprenticeship in Instrumentation (447A)
• 3-5 years of experience in water/wastewater treatment
• Solid SCADA and CMMS knowledge
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
