Take on a pivotal role with the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as an Advisor for Indigenous and Rural Relations. This temporary, full-time position prioritizes community relationships and program enhancements.

Your duties will include fostering partnerships with Indigenous and rural populations, supporting reconciliation programs, and guiding departmental strategies. With a minimum of five years working with Indigenous communities, you'll engage in developing effective policies and promoting governance that respects cultural practices. Your expertise will support vital community projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate community engagement and consultations
• Develop protocols to respect Indigenous traditions




• Provide guidance on municipal procedures and policies
• Assist in community development projects
• Coordinate communication processes with Indigenous partners

Requirements:
• Minimum five years of relevant experience
• Understanding of Indigenous community issues
• Robust communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Criminal Record Check required
