Provide exceptional childcare services as a Childcare Educator for the Association of Neighbourhood Houses of BC. This part-time role involves engaging with infants and toddlers in a collaborative, inclusive environment at Kitsilano Neighbourhood House.
In this position, you'll promote children’s development through a Reggio-inspired program tailored for young learners. The role emphasizes creating a safe, nurturing space while fostering connections with families and community partners. You will work closely with children and fellow educators to ensure high-quality childcare experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute developmentally appropriate and inclusive programming
• Use innovative assessment methods for children's growth
• Maintain a safe and sanitized environment
• Cultivate partnerships with families and community resources
• Participate in curriculum development meetings
Requirements:
• 1 year of licensed childcare experience required
• Valid ECEIT or ECE certification necessary
• Current First Aid certification mandatory
• Minimum of 19 years of age (as per licensing)
• Team-oriented approach to working with families and children
