ASAP Traffic has expanded into Calgary, and we're looking for a Traffic Operations Manager to lead it. We already have field crews on the ground in Calgary — you'd be our first Calgary-based leadership hire, stepping in as their point person and building the office and support team around them from there.
This isn't a role where you inherit an established department and keep the lights on — you'll help decide how the Calgary team is structured, how work gets done, and how the branch scales as we grow. You'll start hands-on: coordinating projects, managing field staff and the Calgary yard, working directly with clients, and running quality control. Once your first Coordinator hire is trained and onboarded (estimated 6-12 months timeline), your focus shifts from doing the work to leading the people and systems behind it.
What You'll Do
Coordinate daily activity between clients, field staff, and internal departments
Schedule and manage traffic control projects, crews, and equipment
Manage the Calgary yard and day-to-day field operations
Run quality-control inspections and resolve issues on the ground
Build and lead the Calgary team as the branch grows — hiring, coaching, and holding people accountable
Own client relationships and protect project margins
What You Bring
5+ years in operations, project management, construction, or field services
2+ years directly managing people
Experience running multiple crews or projects at once
Strong scheduling, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes in a fast-moving environment
Valid Class 5 driver's licence and a clean driving record
Willingness to travel to jobsites around Calgary
What's In It For You
$90,000+ base salary, based on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to individual and branch results
Company-provided truck
Comprehensive advantages and paid vacation
A genuine opportunity to build something — and be recognized for it as the Calgary market grows
This is a chance to take a leadership role in a new market for a growing company, with real input into how it's built. If that's the kind of challenge you want, we want to hear from you.
Company car
Dental care
Extended health care
On-site parking
Paid time off
Profit sharing
You'll start hands on, taking client calls and scheduling staff yourself, before building out the team and process above it. Tell me about a time you did the hands on work while also building something bigger.
Experience:
Operations/Project Management: 5 years (required)
supervisory or management role : 2 years (required)
