Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting
Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to play a key role in financial operations. Reporting to the Corporate Controller and working closely with the Assistant Controller, you will manage a portfolio of companies and oversee technical accounting, financial reporting, and the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, tax, GST, audit support, and year-end reporting. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reconciliations.

Manage full-cycle accounting, including month-end and year-end close.

Prepare and post journal entries in Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and CaseWare.

Complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting working papers.

Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and respond to inquiries.

Analyze financial results,



investigate variances, and support reporting requirements.

Ensure compliance with ASPE, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and file GST returns and support tax compliance activities.

Assist with tax audits, inquiries, and supporting documentation.

Support project accounting, loan draws, and entity closeout activities.

Your strengths include:

CPA designation required; post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance.

3+ years of public accounting experience.

Strong financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and analysis skills.

Experience with Sage 300, Sage Intacct, and CaseWare is an asset.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Detail-oriented team player with robust communication, relationship-building, and independent problem-solving skills.
