Vision Care Woodward is a newly established and quickly growing clinic looking for a new team member who is passionate about patient care, eyewear, and learning different areas of optometry.
This is a dynamic, cross-trained position where you'll have the opportunity to work across our optical gallery, pre-testing area, and contact lens services. If you enjoy working with people, have an eye for style, and are interested in developing hands-on clinical skills, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Optical & Frame Styling
- Help patients select frames that complement their face shape, lifestyle, prescription, and personal style.
- Recommend lens options, treatments, and upgrades based on individual needs.
- Take accurate optical measurements and assist with frame fittings and adjustments.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming eyewear orders.
- Create a welcoming and personalized eyewear experience for every patient.
Pre-Testing & Clinical Support
- Perform pre-testing procedures to prepare patients for their examination with the Optometrist.
- Conduct testing such as autorefraction, tonometry, and other diagnostic testing as required.
- Prepare patients and equipment for examinations.
- Support the Optometrist and clinical team with patient flow and daily clinic operations.
- Maintain accurate patient information and clinical documentation.
Contact Lens Training & Education
- Provide contact lens insertion and removal training for new contact lens wearers.
- Educate patients on proper contact lens handling, cleaning, care, and hygiene.
- Help patients feel comfortable and confident using their contact lenses.
- Support the Optometrist with contact lens-related patient care as needed.
Reception & Clinic Support
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out.
- Process patient payments.
- Answer phone calls, emails,
and voicemails professionally.
- Enter and manage orders using Visual Eyes.
- Support inventory management and merchandising.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment.
Who We're Looking For
- Friendly, approachable, and passionate about patient care.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Interested in both the optical and clinical sides of optometry.
- Comfortable learning hands-on skills, including pre-testing and contact lens training.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
- Interested in fashion, eyewear, and styling.
- Comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Eager to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with the clinic.
Previous optical or clinical experience is an asset but not required — we're happy to train the right candidate.

Schedule
Monday to Friday
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
