The Project Engineer plays a key role in the management of Halifax Water’s water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. Reporting to the Manager of Facilities Engineering, this position requires solid project management skills in areas such as planning, design, and construction management. You’ll work closely with a team to oversee capital projects aligned with long-term infrastructure goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide project management support for treatment facility projects
• Conduct infrastructure condition assessments and recommend improvements
• Prepare scope documents and manage contractors' activities
• Lead investigations related to treatment facilities
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and regulators
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering with P.Eng. designation
• Minimum five years of engineering experience
• Eligibility for Engineers Nova Scotia membership
• Valid NS driver's license
• Must complete required safety training
