Fisheries and Oceans Canada seeks a Fisheries Conservation Supervisor for its Yellowknife Detachment. Drive conservation efforts and manage a skilled team of Fishery Officers dedicated to protecting aquatic environments.
This PM-05 level supervisor role demands a commitment to enforcement of conservation laws across various territories. You will be responsible for enhancing compliance, fostering partnerships, and implementing strategic programs that reflect diverse regional priorities. Your management will help achieve operational excellence and enhanced community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise Fishery Officers’ operations in enforcement activities
• Develop and execute compliance programs and assessments
• Engage with Indigenous and provincial organizations to ensure collaboration
• Conduct wildlife protection and compliance initiatives
• Present compliance evaluations and strategic insights to executive leadership
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent qualifications
• Extensive management experience in resource enforcement
• Skills in developing programs that ensure compliance
• Recent experience in law enforcement or related field
• Certification in first aid and emergency response
Contribute to the protection of Canada’s natural resources, leading a dedicated team to execute essential conservation initiatives.
