Macro Foods – Commissary & Distribution
Position Summary The Packaging Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring every Macro Foods meal is correctly labeled, counted, packed, and delivered — whether it is going to a retail store, a delivery route, or a direct customer order. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills. You are the final checkpoint before our meals reach customers.
Key ResponsibilitiesMeal Identification & Labeling
- Correctly identify each meal by name, SKU, size, and destination
- Apply the correct labels (nutrition, allergens, best-before, lot codes)
- Verify that labels match the product inside each package
- Immediately report any mis-labeling or discrepancies
Store & Customer Order Fulfillment
- Pick, count, and assemble:
- Store replenishment orders
- Customer online orders
- Corporate and bulk orders
- Ensure all items, quantities, and special instructions are followed
- Double-check every order for accuracy before sealing
Counting & Inventory Control
- Accurately count and split meals according to order sheets
- Track which meals are allocated to each store and customer
- Report shortages, overages, or substitutions
Packaging & Bin Organization
- Pack meals into bins by store, customer, and delivery route
- Label bins clearly with store name, route, or customer name
- Organize bins in loading order for drivers
- Keep packaging areas clean, organized, and productive
Data Entry & Computer Systems
- Use Excel and internal software to record:
- Meal counts
- Store splits
- Customer orders
- Ensure physical inventory matches digital records
Driver & Team Communication
- Communicate with delivery drivers about:
- Store loads
- Customer deliveries
- Special handling or missing items
- Flag problems before trucks leave the dock
Required Skills & Qualities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong counting and verification skills
- Comfortable using Excel and digital order systems
- Ability to stay accurate under time pressure
- Organized, dependable, and process-driven
- Strong communication skills
Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
