Lighthouse Montessori Canada is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and engaging part-time French Teacher to introduce French language learning to children in our Montessori preschool, JK, and SK programs, Grade 1-3.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children and can make French learning fun, interactive, and age-appropriate through songs, stories, conversation, games, movement, and hands-on activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons for children approximately 3–6 years old
- Introduce age-appropriate vocabulary, simple phrases, songs, stories, and conversation
- Create a positive and encouraging environment that helps children become comfortable hearing and speaking French
- Adapt lessons to different ages and levels of ability
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and administration
- Prepare simple materials and activities when needed
- Maintain a professional, reliable, and positive presence in the school

Qualifications:





- Strong French-speaking skills; fluent or near-fluent French preferred
- Experience teaching or working with children is an asset
- Early childhood, education, French Studies, or teaching background is an asset
- Energetic, patient, creative, and comfortable leading groups of young children
- Reliable and able to commit consistently to scheduled daytime hours
- Successful candidates will be required to meet applicable requirements for working in a licensed childcare setting

Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week, primarily during daytime school hours. Compensation: $35–$40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
