Lead the Court Services Division with the Nova Scotia Department of Justice in Halifax. This permanent Director role requires robust management in court administration and strategic program delivery.
As the Director of Court Services, report directly to the Executive Director within a senior management team. Your responsibilities include overseeing courthouse operations, implementing legislation, and enhancing service delivery. Collaborate with the judiciary and legal community while managing staff and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across varied interests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise overall court services and administrative operations
• Direct program delivery while respecting judicial independence
• Cultivate relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Develop and implement new legislation and policies
• Manage externally funded programs and ensure compliance
Requirements:
• University degree in law or public administration
• Significant senior management experience in justice or public service
• Expertise in finance, HR, and project management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
• A law degree and experience as a lawyer is an asset
