Become a pivotal player in the support of future healthcare professionals as a Registered Psychologist at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. This hybrid role combines remote and in-person work in Edmonton.
In this two-year position, you'll provide dedicated one-on-one counselling to Pharmacy students. Experience the professional freedom to develop your own practice while connecting with learners facing academic and personal challenges. Your role may also extend to supporting medical students through established partnerships, reinforcing the holistic approach to mental well-being within the FoPPS community.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide tailored psychological counselling to learners
• Establish solid therapeutic relationships with Pharmacy students
• Collaborate with the Office of Advocacy and Wellbeing
• Address personal and academic challenges effectively
• Maintain a high level of professional autonomy
Requirements:
• Registration as a psychologist required
• Experience with student counselling preferred
• Comfort in hybrid working environments
• Knowledge of the healthcare education landscape
• Solid commitment to student mental health needs
