As a Political Communications Officer, you will assist the Regional Executive Vice-President in representing PSAC’s mission. This role requires a diploma in communications or a related area, coupled with three years of practical experience. Knowledge of government processes and media relations will be key in articulating the union's stance on various issues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the REVP in executing political communication strategies
• Establish and nurture media relationships
• Design and develop communication materials in both languages
• Strategize for member engagement and mobilization
• Analyze and report on relevant political issues
Requirements:
• Bilingual (English, French) at CEFR Level B2
• Educational background in communications, public relations, or journalism
• Minimum of three years related professional experience
• Understanding of the Canadian political landscape
• Strong initiative and commitment to union principles
