Pay Rate Range: $40/h

Schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day work from home

About the Role
We are seeking a Facilities Technician in Calgary to work a 12-month contract (maternity leave coverage). This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented qualified with experience in cost reporting, project administration, procurement coordination, accounts payable, or project controls to support facility projects in a rapid-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs, processing invoices, supporting project reporting, and ensuring project documentation and administrative activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Support daily project cost control activities, including budget tracking and cost reporting

Process and reconcile invoices, verify coding, and assist with cost allocations

Assist with WBS (AFE) setup, cost tracking, accruals, and variance reporting

Prepare and maintain weekly project reports covering cost, schedule, HSSE, and project updates

Provide administrative support for facility and engineering projects

Maintain project records, documentation, forms, and reports

Coordinate approvals, submissions, and project close-out documentation

Liaise with third-party engineering firms and vendors to gather required project information

Support procurement and materials management processes

Assist with safety documentation, compliance tracking, and onboarding activities

Provide support and guidance to field staff on reporting systems and project processes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in a project administration, cost control, procurement,



project support, or related role

Strong background in cost reporting, invoice management, budget tracking, and financial administration

Experience working with SAP and Open Invoice is highly preferred

Previous procurement coordination or supply chain experience is considered a strong asset

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

Experience with Power BI is an assetStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills

Ability to work independently while supporting multiple stakeholders and projects
