About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong hands-on experience in Payments and Cards. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of payment processing, financial reporting, contingency handling, and Agile delivery, along with practical experience working with SQL and JIRA. The candidate must be able to demonstrate hands-on technical and business analysis skills and should be comfortable working through real-world scenarios and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

- Work as a Business Analyst supporting Payments and Cards initiatives.

- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

- Work closely with business, technology, development, and QA teams.

- Analyze payment-related processes, transactions, reporting, and data.

- Support contingency planning and resolution for payment-related scenarios, including volume-based contingencies.

- Analyze production/business issues and work with technical teams toward appropriate solutions.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with Scrum teams.

- Create and maintain JIRA stories, issues, tasks, and requirements.

- Use SQL to query and validate data and support analysis/troubleshooting.

- Translate business requirements into clear functional/technical requirements.

- Identify gaps, assess impacts, and recommend practical solutions.

Required Skills

- 6+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience, preferably within Payments / Cards / Financial Services.

- Strong knowledge of payment processing and payment-related standards,



including familiarity with applicable ISO standards used in payments/reporting.

- Hands-on experience with SQL, including the ability to write, validate, and troubleshoot basic SQL queries independently.

- Robust hands-on experience with JIRA — candidate should be comfortable creating and managing JIRA issues/stories directly.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong understanding of financial reporting, payments, and cards.

- Experience handling contingency scenarios, including volume-based/payment-related contingencies.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to understand both business requirements and technical implications.

- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
