We seek a compassionate Peer Support Worker dedicated to recovery and community integration.
You will leverage your personal experiences with mental illness or substance use to foster authentic relationships with clients. Bring your strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and commitment to the principles of harm reduction and self-determination to this impactful role. Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients in identifying and achieving wellness goals
- Develop and enact individualized care plans with clients
- Facilitate wellness and recovery action planning
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and families
Requirements:
- Relevant peer support certification required
- Experience in mental health and substance use services
- Solid interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to self-determination and harm reduction
- Ability to work weekdays from 8:00 to 16:30
