Provide critical mental health support at Prairie Mountain Health as a Community Mental Health Worker. Engage with clients, assess needs, and develop recovery plans in both community and facility settings.
As a Community Mental Health Worker (CMHW), you will offer essential services and act as the primary counselor for clients in need. This role requires strong therapeutic skills, knowledge of trauma-informed care, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders. Proficiency in crisis intervention and a commitment to recovery-oriented practices are essential for maximizing client independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build trusting relationships with clients and families
• Collect and review psychosocial information and assessments
• Assess client strengths and resource needs
• Develop intervention plans tailored to individual recovery goals
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Degree in Psychiatric Nursing or Social Work
• Current licensure in valuable standing
• Two years’ experience in a mental health setting
• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and ASIST
• Manitoba Class 5 Drivers License and accessibility to a vehicle
