Position Summary
The Client Support Associate (Northern Alberta) provides client support, advocacy, and system navigation services while contributing to the delivery, development and evaluation of Sagesse's Peer Support, Volunteer and Real Talk Programs. Working from a client-centred, intersectional, and gender transformative framework, this role supports participants, peer support volunteers, community partnerships, and program quality improvement initiatives. Preference for this position will be given to those who live in Northern Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
Client Services & Program Delivery
Provide client support, advocacy, system navigation, referrals and follow-up support
Maintain client engagement through individual and group support activities
Complete High Conflict Screening Tool assessments with clients
Complete FIT check-ins and ongoing client support
Support program development, delivery, evaluation, and quality improvement
Provide clinical support to agency volunteers as needed
Facilitation support as needed, including leading workshops and partnership collaboration internally and externally
Community Engagement & Collaboration
Identify systemic barriers impacting clients and communities
Participate in community committees and initiatives as directed
Promote awareness of Sagesse programs and services
Build relationships with community partners
Program Administration
Maintain accurate client files and documentation
Update client, volunteer and partnership systems
Report monthly activities and service statistics
Support funding proposals, reports, and program evaluation
Attend supervision and staff meetings
Complete other duties as required

Qualifications
Required:
Diploma or Degree in Social Work or a related field
Registration with a relevant professional body or eligibility for registration
Comfort with a hybrid work environment and virtual technology
Ability to travel throughout Alberta as required
Availability to work evenings and weekends when needed
Preferred:
Two years of experience in social services, peer support, community development or a related field
Experience facilitating groups, workshops or educational programs

0.6 FTE, 22.5 hours per week
Reports to: Clinical Support Coordinator
Schedule: Schedule will be determined with the successful candidate based on organizational and candidate needs. Position will be required to work a minimum or 3 days per week between Monday and Friday, with at minimum one evening shift per week.
Location: Alberta-based (Primarily remote, with travel around the province and to the main office in Calgary required as needed.
