Responsibilities

- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper dosage and administration instructions are clear to patients
- Provide expert advice on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions to patients and healthcare providers
- Collaborate with medical staff to develop and review patient medication plans, especially in acute care and hospital settings
- Maintain meticulous records of prescriptions, medication inventories, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed in coordination with healthcare teams
- Educate patients on proper medication storage, adherence,



and safety precautions, including pediatric considerations when applicable
- Stay current with medical terminology, pharmaceutical developments, and regulatory requirements to ensure best practices in patient care

Requirements

- Valid pharmacist license or certification as required by local regulatory authorities
- Proven experience working in hospital or acute care environments is highly preferred
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Experience with pediatric medication management is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and educating patients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting
