Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in supporting pharmacists and ensuring the productive operation of the pharmacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and medication management, with prior experience in hospital or pharmacy settings preferred.

Responsibilities

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory by stock checking, labeling, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and patient interactions
- Support medication reconciliation processes and ensure compliance with safety protocols




- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements

- Prior experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and medication administration procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Certification or training as a pharmacy technician is a plus but not mandatory
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and safety standards

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
