Role Description The Physiotherapy Assistant is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo Metropolitan Area. The individual in this role supports physiotherapists in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, including assisting with treatment sessions, preparing therapy equipment, and guiding patients through prescribed exercises.

Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient responses to treatment, documenting progress under supervision, and ensuring treatment areas are clean, safe, and well organized.





The Physiotherapy

Assistant also helps coordinate patient appointments, provides explicit and empathetic communication, and contributes to a supportive, high-performance clinical environment aligned with MM Physio’s standards of care and culture of growth.

Qualifications

- Ability to support Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation interventions under the direction of a licensed physiotherapist.
- Demonstrated commitment to Patient Care and Quality Patient Care, with a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
- Foundational understanding of Orthopedics and musculoskeletal conditions relevant to physiotherapy treatment.
- Relevant diploma or certification as a Physiotherapy Assistant or similar rehabilitation support role.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow clinical protocols and instructions accurately.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining documentation, treatment schedules, and a safe clinical environment.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing learning, mentorship, and professional development within a high-performance clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy, rehabilitation, or healthcare clinic setting is an asset.
