Force Tubular Solutions a leading oilfield asset and tubular management and services company to the upstream oil and gas industry. Its core business revolves around drill pipe, drill tools, sucker rods, casing and production tubing, coating services, and tubular products for production and completion. Force’s services include in-plant and mobile inspection, repair, machining, and manufacturing.

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Plant Supervisor is responsible for HSE, quality, customer service, efficient production and scheduling of workers to meet daily production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will also include the training of staff regarding safety, quality and production.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This role is directly accountable for several initiatives including participation, investigation and documentation of HSE incidents for the Inspection, Shop and Field. Duties also include managing, reporting and investigating Inspection quality NCRs to completion. The Plant Supervisor will also be responsible for supervising the Inspection Plant in terms of employee organization, scheduling, PM checks and housekeeping.

Leadership

- Supports the inspection operations by communicating company values, strategies and objectives while assessing operational efficiency.
- Leads HSE initiatives, and represents HSE values, goals, and policies.
- Leads quality initiatives and ensures the Inspection team is delivering products and services that meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations.
- Identifies opportunities to effectively minimize and manage Inspection costs and overtime.
- Provides effective communication and direction to employees.
- Provide effective troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Provide excellent customer service and interaction in terms of professionalism, support in a timely manner and consistently exceeding customer expectations.
- Maintains a positive attitude to create a positive environment.
- Assist in leading continuous improvement or organizational change.
- Leads and supports corporate strategies and objectives.

Operations, Safety, Quality, Financial

- Responsible for assisting in ensuring safety, environmental and quality procedures and initiatives are in compliance and being followed.
- Expedites incident reporting regarding safety, environment, and quality. Also leads safety initiatives, participates in toolbox meetings and investigations, coordinates and executes monthly documented site inspections along with completing action items / corrective actions.




- Assists in reviewing and training Inspection employees on all safety and quality required documentation and procedures.
- Assists with prompt and accurate follow-up from corrective actions that come from incident investigation reports (safety) and non-conformance reports (quality) when required.
- Maintains service reputation and customer satisfaction both internally and externally with proper and timely job execution.
- Upholds customer service reputation by managing new business relationships, job execution and supporting inquiries.
- Supervises, coordinates, and schedules the activities and efficiency of workers.
- Trains employees in job duties, safety, quality procedures and company policies.
- Resolves work problems and recommends measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Provides information for production plans to ensure that production objectives are met.
- Initiates PO Requisitions for materials and supplies.
- Recommends personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Conducts performance management and goal setting with employees, ensuring employees are aligned and driven to meet or exceed corporate goals and initiatives.
- Supervises, motivates, and retains existing employees.
- Coordinates with Quality Department to ensure calibration of equipment is current and tracked.
- Facilitates pre-job safety meetings, ensuring Inspection checklists are completed by operators/inspectors.
- Consults with Branch Manager on authorization for expenditures on current equipment, ordering parts or equipment for jobs and scheduling job activity.
- Tracks work in progress jobs within ERP system.
- Ensures preventative maintenance of all required equipment is recorded and outages reported in a timely manner.
- Approves time sheets as necessary for Inspection if delegated.
- On-call when required and assists with the coordination of on-call responsibilities and scheduling.
- Co-ordinates day-to-day scheduling and tasks performed by Inspection employees to ensure clear direction and efficient performance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Complies with Force Inspection’s Health & Safety program and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- High school diploma.




- 3 to 5 years supervisory experience for an NDT inspection company with demonstrated experience motivating, training, and appraising employees.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and establish effective communication and working relationships with other departments, stakeholders, and customers.
- Leadership and team building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of performance management.
- Superior detail orientation, values accuracy and has high standards around quality of work.
- Process thinker, with a high degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a timely and effective fashion.
- Ability to operate required manufacturing equipment effectively.
- API, 5CT, 5B, 5B1, Spec 71/2 knowledge are assets. 7-1/7-2 (ADD RP7G-2)
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mechanical skills are an asset.
- Developed problem solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Ability to find new methods and principles and to incorporate them into existing practices as needed.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
- May require work in hazardous environments requiring protective equipment.
- May be exposed to dust and high noise levels.
- May be required to work in unfavourable weather conditions.
- Travel may be required.
- Available to work overtime when required.
