This position focuses on enhancing educational outcomes for students of Aboriginal ancestry while providing academic, cultural, and emotional support. You will collaborate closely with educators, families, and local Indigenous partners to ensure a culturally safe learning environment that strengthens connections to their heritage. The role requires cultural sensitivity and strong relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate support for Indigenous education initiatives
• Provide culturally relevant academic and social assistance
• Assist students in connection to their heritage and local communities
• Engage with families to provide resources and support
• Participate in relevant meetings for program development
Requirements:
• High School diploma and Class 5 Driver’s License
• An Indigenous Education diploma or related experience
• Thorough understanding of local Indigenous cultures
• Robust initiative in supporting educational goals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
