Become an impactful Adult Educator in Chesterfield Inlet or Naujaat with Nunavut Arctic College. This role focuses on planning, delivering, and evaluating adult educational programming tailored to community needs.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Community Programs, you will be responsible for overseeing educational programming for adults. Your role will include supervising staff, conducting needs assessments, and managing learning environments at the Community Learning Centre. Strong instructional and counselling skills are essential to support various adult learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and evaluate educational programs for adult learners
• Supervise janitorial staff and casual instructors
• Conduct annual training needs assessments
• Provide educational and career counselling services
• Teach adult basic programming, including literacy and essential skills
Requirements:
• High school diploma and adult education certificate
• Minimum one year teaching experience in adult education
• Experience in educational/counselling settings
• Cultural sensitivity in a cross-cultural setting
• Criminal Record Check required for position of trust
